Soul Bri
Being able to express myself through art has been a part of me since I was a child. From writing, drawing, taking photos, acting, and more. Art is inside of me, poetry became my remedy throughout time. It is the one form of art I am always faithfully running ran back to, no matter how stubborn I became poetry never left my side. I started performing spoken word at 12 years old, then acting and photography naturally fell in my lap, I fell in love with the idea of transforming my pain into a beautiful story. I created bareyour-soulbri as a way for others to connect with me, being vulnerable while leaving a piece of my heart on the stage after my performances has become second nature. I wanted to share these experiences with others. I am on an unapologetic journey of unconditional self love while, creating, and sharing with other souls along the way.

My creations
Writing can be bittersweet and photography is a breath of fresh air. Acting and Poetry are combined for me. I am able to create characters and act them out through my poems. Sometimes I dig deep and allow my personal truths to unfold, other times I am empathetic to the experiences of certain souls I encounter, their emotions fall into my thoughts, and I discreetly am able to tell their story through my eyes. Then there are moments when my mind drifts, becoming lost in the little things, leading me to create a voice through my poetry for those who go unseen or don't feel heard. The level of intimacy between myself and the audience is something I cherish and handle with care. They allow me to borrow their ears, hearts, and to connect with their souls. Within that small amount of time they were able to bare with me as I poured into them, and I will always love them for being vulnerable on each short journey through words with me.
